As I've grown older, I discovered that I actually like traveling (but flying still makes me anxious).

After reuniting with my cousin in NYC last year, she finally encouraged me to come out to Denver for a short weeknd trip. We ate a lot of good food, spent some time in Boulder at an Asian Festival and explored the city. I also got the change to reunite with an old high school friend and a pal from NYC.
After living in Chicago for almost two years, I try to make it back to enjoy the city & a little taste of the Midwest.
One of my high school friends, Seth, works for the Pennsylvania Horticulture Society (PHS) and we reconnected when I lived in Philadelphia. Last year, he asked if I would come back down and help out with the annual flower show and work in the gift shop. I had a great time and they liked me so much, that they brought me back to help manage the cashier team for the show's two gift shops.
After flying to Las Vegas to see Britney Spears, a few friends & I decided to spend the day driving and exploring Mount Zion National Park in Utah. After a few hours, we were surrounded by the coolest colors and mountains.
I wouldn't consider myself a "nature" person and I almost stayed behind in Las Vegas to shop the strip, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to visit this national park. And certainly, because it would be something I would never do on my own. We walked into the park and tried to venture into "The Narrows," but due to rainfall, it was impossible without wading gear. At least we hiked up into some waterfalls and saw some really cool formations.
Don't mind the red clay all over my Chucks! And, ooh, I would have never met Ryan Guzman (The Boy Next Door, Pretty Little Liars, Step-Up) in the lobby of our hotel if I hadn't gone alone on the trip!
